Born This Way - Glee review
So, I'm watching Born This Way for the second time, and I thought I'd share my thoughts with you guys.
- No kiss in the "That's what you missed"??? That's bullshit.
- That doctor is clearly overstepping his boundaries. "What does your girlfriend look like?" What?
- Emma, you're totally gorgeous with your red hair, it's not really a plague :P
- Anybody know who plays the doctor? He's not listed on IMDB, but I'm pretty sure I saw him somewhere else before.
- The Rechel/Quinn duet is beautiful, their voices go so well together <3
- "I was just seeing what jeans he was wearing." "Like that's any less gay." Love it :D
- Auntie Tana! Cracks me up :P
- I love that scene where they film from inside the lockers, it's great!
- Oh, wow, that number with Finn and Mike is totally flawless! It's so refreshing to hear Finn singing something other than classic rock (not that I don't love that, mind you), and it's gonna be so easy to write chapter 2 of my Finn/Mike fic! They were totally cute together in that number! When Mike takes Finn's shoulders to help him dance, I think my brain exploded :D
- "See guys, someone who's not afraid to point out something they're really bad at." "But I'm getting better, right?" "..." Fuck you, Shue, Finn's awesome.
- Awwww Mike and Tina are totally endgame <3 <3 <3
- Will, that's not the way you help someone with OCD. She's clearly in pain, there, and you're making it worse.
- Awww, Dave's speech is beautiful, I'd so want to believe that he really means it, and doesn't just say it because Santana told him to.
- The guy bullied by Azimio is HOMELESS BRETT!!!!! OMG!
- Burt!!! <3 <3 <3 And I love Mr. Karofsky so much, too!
- When Mr. Karofsky talks about how Dave is back to the way he was before the bullying, it makes me think that this isn't only because of Santana, and that maybe Dave really means everything he's saying. Does that make any sense?
- "Okay, if you're gonna be gay, you simply must know who that is." That's the Kurt I love <3
- KURT'S SMILE WHEN HE SEES FINN WITH BURT!!!!!!!
- I love the jazz band members totally jumping in to back them up with instruments :)
- Somewhere Only We Know is perfect, and I'm so glad I didn't spoil myself, it was totally worth it. And I totally need to watch it a third time, to focus on the Warblers instead of Blaine and Kurt (and Finn's hug!!!! <3)
- Awww, Thad and Kurt's awesome bro-embrace! <3
- OMG THERE'S LIKE HALF A SECOND OF JEFFTANA!!!! <3
- I'm so happy with the reason Kurt's coming back, I was afraid he wouldn't have a good reason, but this was handled so well, and the Santana/Karofsky thing was totally unexpected.
- Oh, Kurt's arms, I missed you <3 I love him so much in short sleeves or 3/4 sleeves :)
- Puck's permanent record! lmao
- I love that character development for Quinn, it gives her so much reasons for acting the way she did in those last episodes, with this prom queen obsession.
- I can't believe Puck would have done that to Quinn, though. I know he likes Lauren, but I still truly believe that he loved Quinn deeply.
- I love Kurt/Rachel friendship, every scene with them is so fantastic.
- I totally love those mall flashmobs which you have to see 15 times to take everything in, and you still notice someone new each time.
- I just don't get why a guidance counselor would have to deal with a student with diabetes.
- AWww, Finn is perfect in this episode. That's the Finn I love, the one that deserves his title of "My favorite Glee character" :P Seriously, he's so supporting of both Rachel and Quinn in this episode, plus we get to see some brotherly fluff with Kurt. I couldn't be happier :D
- I don't get why the three girls looking up to Lauren and then to Quinn's campaign posters are always dressed the same.
- "Legend has it that when I came out of my mother I told the nurse she was fat." <3
- I love Brit's BTW shirt :D
- "You're Lebanese, and I think I'm bi-curious" Priceless. This entire scene is perfect.
- I hate that Santana and Sam never officially broke up. I thought they did when Santana confessed her love for Brit in Sexy, but in the next episodes they were still together, and now she's "dating" Dave, and the closest thing we had to a breakup was Sam saying Santana's "Probably somewhere making out with Karofsky. Yeah. He can have her."
- Kurt kills me in the BTW number. He's totally sexy, plus HIS ARMS!!! UNF.
- Tina, Mercedes and Kurt are awesome in the beginning of the number, they're so fierce!
- Pardon my lack of English knowledge in that area, but what does "No weave" means on Mercedes' shirt?
- I'm totally in love with Mike's hat.
- I love that it was Mike who pulled Rachel on the stage to make her dance with them. Yeah, maybe I'm shipping them a tiny bit since BIOTA. :P
So, I totally loved this episode, I think it has become my favorite one. The storylines were awesome and well handled, all the characters were likable, and the musical numbers were breathtaking.

I also loved when Karofsky looked at Sam's ass - I laughed SO HARD!
And I think no weave means that Mercedes' hair is all natural? Because remember in the Silly Love Songs ep when Lauren threatens Santana and says "don't make me rip that weave out your head"? Yeah...so I think it's like hair extensions or something.

The only thing that bothered me was the Quinn storyline, because remember back in Funk in S1? She said something like "I've only had to deal with this for a year, you've dealt with it your whole life" when they were talking about getting picked on, etc. Major continuity errors :(

The doctor was so mean. ;; And I adore I Feel Pretty/So Unpretty. Omfg. Just... yes. That song already had a 20 play count on iTunes, but now it's even greater! I can picture something to it, finally, and what a sad little scene too. I loved Rachel and Quinn this ep.
And agreeing, agreeing, agreeing and SPAZZING over everything you wrote. XD I was going to post a review of my own on my LJ but I don't even need to. This is all the discussion and accuracy about the ep that I need, ahaha. I loved it dearly, too. I'm downloading it now so I can watch it on the laptop my boyfriend lent me for the day. :DDDD
MALL FLASHMOB SCENE... Admittedly kinda random but SUCH a good idea for a 'Barbravention', rofl. I think the whole thing was great. I knew that song was gonna be in the episode - but I had no idea he'd start it. WIN. Shoulder-dancing, intense-smolder Kurt = dsjfdsfs LOL yay. :b
No weave means something pertaining to the stereotype/sometimes fact that black women get weaves in their hair. Her hair is 100% hers, and she curls it to her liking or wears it straight and aint nobody gonna tell her to do otherwise, is what I got from it!
